On this day, I made a reservation through Yakiniku with a friend and went to Takashima City!
This is a Japanese restaurant review! We are proud to introduce this Japanese cuisine restaurant. We will make our first visit to this place where they specialize in seasonal vegetables and fish.
Address: 2-10-9 Takada Building, Shibukita-cho, Takasugi-shi, Osaka Prefecture. The nearest station is Takasugi City Station on the Sakura Kyoto Line, which is just 2 minutes' walk away from this restaurant.
Opened in 2012! The owner graduated from Tsuji Sushi Training School and spent 5 years honing his skills at the Uonagi Centum restaurant "Chika Tei" in Shiga Prefecture.
After that, he trained for three years at the kaiseki restaurant "Kō" in Ebata Hongan-ji. Then, he returned to "Chika Teishi" and trained for another two years before finally becoming independent at the age of 30.
※Among those who trained at Chika Tezuka’s restaurant, only Shunsuke Shunsuke Kiku no San was allowed to become independent.
It was past 12 o’clock when I arrived at the restaurant.
Closed Days: … Sunday, Monday
Open hours: 11:30–14:00 (Last order at 13:30) Lunch options include Ume Maki, Ohitsu Mabushi, and Eatea Nabe Nama.
17:30~22:00 (L.O. 21:30)
※The eel bento for takeout requires reservation
Kansai entered the rainy season on the first day of the season! On this day, the weather was indeed wet and rainy.
2025년 여름의 토요노우의 우노데이, 7월 19일과 7월 31일!
Kikuno San’s seasonal dishes and fish are available for reservation via the website until June 30th. For every order amount of 4,000 yen, a discount of 200 yen is offered.
If only my husband eats the eel alone... Otherwise, my wife will scold me after reading the blog post. So, I've made a reservation online this time.
Ascended to the second floor, entered the restaurant, and requested to make a reservation and obtain permission for photo-taking.
This is a restaurant with a smoking room for controlled ventilation. It has 60 seats across all rooms, arranged in a fireplace style layout (with movable partitions for large banquets). The atmosphere inside is calm and pleasant.
Lunch options include eel dishes, noodle dishes, single-item dishes, and o-hitsumabushi dishes!
In addition to the aforementioned dishes, the restaurant also offers individual items such as course meals, sashimi, udon, steaks, and other dishes. It also provides local dishes from Shiga Prefecture, including river fish like carp and pike, upon request.
The drinks section is also quite comprehensive, featuring Domenech bottles and premium whisky.
After discussing it with my friend...
Danna, Umebako…
Ohitsumabushi Kō,
白焼き(1/2尾)
Please, thank you~
Eel dishes: Eel Combo - 4,590 yen; Oitsu Mabushi Eel - 4,700 yen. Both items come with one eel each; for the white-baked eel (half a eel) - 2,300 yen. Total cost: 11,590 yen.
Recent dining experiences help to spark conversations.
Wait for a while, then arrive in order.
Opening the lid to enjoy the aroma of the eel is also a happy moment!
In a luxurious dish, there's the wonderful aroma of freshly roasted eel!
Yuzen is served with liver pickles and pickled vegetables!
Thank you~

The restaurant served two large servings of shark liver, which appeared to be over-the-top presentation!
The broth is exquisite, and the grilled liver is a rare feature in this restaurant! The way the liver is grilled is absolutely perfect.
We have purchased the best-quality live eel from its place of origin, and we have carefully grilled it over a charcoal fire to create this delicious kabayaki!
This restaurant uses one luxurious Japanese eel for every dish they serve!
Beautiful water, a ribbon of fish fed with dedicated feed. The eel is cooked until it has just the right amount of fat, making it crispy and fragrant. The skin and flesh are extremely delicious. This is a traditional Kyoto-style grilled dish!
Just like the eel, rice is equally important! The carefully selected rice is cooked to an appropriate hardness, and the continuously added sauce penetrates perfectly, making it extremely delicious!
白焼きが到着しました。
Wasabi, wasabi with Chinese pepper, wasabi dashi, served with soy sauce!
If you want to enjoy the grilled eel purely, then choose the white grilled version!
Please add a little wasabi to the dish!
The original flavor of the eel and the sweet taste of its fat are fully preserved!
The contrast between the richness of the ingredients and the refreshing sensation of the green onions creates a synergistic effect.
A beautiful steamed pork dish served with a sauce that has absorbed the flavors, along with rice!
A moment of true happiness!!
Every detail was impeccable; it was a truly delightful meal!
Received takeout orders, settled the bill, and paid tribute to all the chefs and fish experts at Kiku. After that, we left the restaurant.
Danna, thank you for the delicious meal! It was really enjoyable. I will come again!
P.S.
Returned home~
Yome... Ooooooo! Eel!
The tote bag contains a menu for the "Eel Grilled Dinner" service, as well as brochures with the in-store and takeout menus.
If you remove the tag, you will find Shijinjo and a description of how to enjoy it deliciously.
It is recommended to heat the container in an electric oven (600–700W) for 1 to 1.5 minutes.
As per the instructions in the manual, I screwed it on...
Drizzle with the sauce from a separate container and take a bite!
Yome… indeed, the grilled eel is exceptional!!
The eel grilled bento was completely devoured by my daughter alone m(__)m
