The Second Day
On the second day, we had breakfast with grills. Since both my partner and I preferred Japanese-style meals yesterday, today we chose Western-style options for both of us. Just like for the Japanese-style meals yesterday, we opted for Western-style breakfast items. There were also Western-style sets available, but with smaller portions. So, we both chose the Western-style breakfast set.
The menu items for the Western breakfast included tofu smoothie, orange juice, egg Benedict with Danten tofu, served alongside English muffins. There was also beef tendon tomato sauce stew, sausage, bacon, potatoes, green vegetables, smoked salmon, and a salad of colorful vegetables. The main dish was a vegetable soup, crostini, fruits, and coffee. Yesterday, my partner commented that the breakfast at Prince Hotel was somewhat lacking. However, this morning’s breakfast seemed to meet his expectations. As usual, there was a grill for fish, but this morning, grills were also provided for sausage and bacon. We warmed them up and ate them. The egg Benedict and beef tendon tomato sauce stew were very delicious. The smoked salmon was served wrapped around the salad vegetables. Sausage and bacon were placed between large crostini. The vegetable soup was a purée, and the fruits included grapes and oranges. Yesterday, my partner and I drank tofu smoothie for the first time. This morning, my partner said it was good for our health.
This morning, unlike yesterday, there was fog, but it didn’t seem like rain would fall. The weather was suitable for viewing from the room.Da Kōhen CCWatching this, I felt envious of those who were about to start playing golf. After having breakfast, we left the hotel. The service was kind and attentive, as provided by my partner. It was a comfortable place to spend time.

First Day
Last nightTaiyuanI ate too much and drank too much, along with drinking too much while staying in the room. It wasn’t a great morning at all. My partner was in excellent shape; he went to the hot spring early in the morning and looked completely energetic. I spent time drinking coffee on the balcony until my partner returned from the hot spring. It was a terrible fog… and even drizzling rain. It was a pity that it was a golf day. While looking out the window, I saw a deer family at the driving range. Later, when I told the caddie about this, he said that seeing deer is a good sign of luck. We went for breakfast after my partner returned from the hot spring.
The breakfast options included Japanese-style and Western-style dishes. Both of us chose the Japanese-style dishes. Both the Japanese-style and Western-style sets had smaller portions. I opted for a Japanese breakfast, while my partner chose a Japanese set with smaller portions. The menu consisted of tofu smoothie, colorful vegetable salad, okra sesame sauce, dried radish, Oda-hara-produced tenroshu dried plum, homemade egg rolls with dashi broth, Oda-hara-crafted pickled vegetables, grilled seaweed, rice, and miso soup. The difference between the Japanese breakfast and the Japanese set was the presence or absence of fish. By the way, the fish chosen was salmon or dried herring; I opted for the dried herring. Before breakfast, my condition improved. From morning onwards, I and my partner ate a lot of delicious dishes.First, I tasted the miso soup. It turned out to be Izu miso. There was a grill ready, and while the dried fish was being warmed on it, I ate okra sesame stew, dried radish, and Oda-hara-produced shirou plum salted. These are all dishes that I rarely have the chance to eat in everyday life, so I enjoyed them while savoring their flavors. The homemade dango wrapped in soy sauce was a bit hard compared to what I’m used to eating, but it still tasted delicious. The pickled vegetables were from the famous Oda-hara pickling method, so I paid special attention to their taste. When the dried fish was finally warm enough to eat, my partner brought out rice and said, “Let’s eat the boiled rice.” I couldn’t understand why they had chosen a Japanese meal set without any fish dishes. So, I peeled the pickled vegetables and handed them to my partner. Then, he brought out a small plate with grilled seaweed and said, “You can leave it here.” I thought, “It’s still there!” and wondered again why they had chosen a Japanese meal set without any fish dishes.
Both my partner and I were the first people to try tofu smoothie. My partner said it seemed good for our health, so I thought it must be true and enjoyed the taste. The fog in the morning cleared up, and there was even a light rain. My partner said it was because of my usual good actions, so I decided to keep thinking that way.
