Finally, the long-awaited payday has arrived.
However, the contents inside the bag remain unchanged.
The reason is that if I don’t go home, I won’t get any pocket money.
But don’t worry at all. Even with PayPay, there are still small amounts of money coming in, and my balance has automatically increased.
Therefore, on this day, we will live a completely cashless lifestyle.
Buying a can of coffee from a vending machine is also possible with PayPay. Of course, lunch too can be paid for with PayPay... Ah, I need to find a store where PayPay is accepted.
Therefore, I searched for restaurants where PayPay can be used at the BM store, and decided to set the destination as Innepa Cafe in the Osumen area.
When I first opened this restaurant, I happened to pass by here. The staff member who worked at the restaurant was of Nepali origin. I received a coupon with a 10% discount, as well as a point card that had one point already stamped on it from the very beginning.
Both of them have been kept hidden in my wallet for a long time, and it seems that they are finally going to see the light of day.
Let's head straight for the "スーバー".
避けて小雨をしながら歩いていると、すれ違うサラリーマンたちは皆、同じように弁当の入った袋を持っているようでした。
It seems that you purchased it at the bento shop "Tou-chan Bento".
Previously, a bento could cost just over 300 yen per piece. However, due to repeated price increases, the price has now risen to 420 yen per piece.
Even though it's called a "jump-up" meal, its price is only about 2/3 of that of regular bento in the market. It still falls within the category of extremely cheap bento.
Well, while observing the bustling “Tou-chan Bento” filled with salaried workers, we arrived at “Sueru” at 11:30 AM, just before lunchtime.
I check for PayPay stickers before entering the restaurant.
↑これ、大事。
“イラッシャイマセェ〜”という独特な発音の挨拶を受けて、私は入口の横にあるテーブル席に座りました。
A Nepali-speaking staff member came over immediately and said, "Gochuumonha QR Code Card." I then scanned the QR code on the table.
Even though I have PayPay balance, I won’t indulge in luxury.
I really wanted to order a lunch menu that costs over 1,000 yen, but I held back and chose the cheapest menu, the “A set” which costs 918 yen.
I will send you mango juice as the drink, and choose the level of spiciness as "special hot".
The interior of the restaurant is adorned with Nepalese-style decorations, creating a unique handmade atmosphere that is characteristic of Innepakalee.
The flowing background music is, of course, music from that other country. It reminds me of the closed Osaka-Kansai World Expo.
While waiting for the food to be ready, there were frequent visits from people coming and going. All of them seemed to be people of Nepali descent, but it seems that they are not employees of the restaurant.
Perhaps the contractors who work here are also from Nepal.
Just after submitting the order, mango juice and a salad were brought over.
As someone else has mentioned, for some reason, Innepakalee serves drinks first.
Hot coffee and tea can be ordered with either a pre-order or a post-order option. But what are the criteria behind this decision?
Thereafter, a set of curry and naan was served. The naans, which were about 3 to 40 centimeters in length, were quite impressive.
All items are ready now… I will take them immediately.
First, as a "vegetarian first" choice, we ordered a salad with a mysterious dressing.
It has a refreshing texture that feels crisp and juicy at the same time.
Let’s leave some of the curry behind for those who prefer it spicy.
Next, we order the main curry.
First, scoop it up with a spoon and take a bite like soup.
The paste-like curry is not particularly spicy, but it has a simple and acceptable taste.
そして、予想とは裏腹に、徐々に辛さが増していった。
“激辛”というよりは、感覚的には中辛程度だと思いながら、食べ続けました。
The types of curry are vegetables, so the taste is overall mild. Despite being mild, the spices are quite strong, causing sweat to trickle down my forehead.
As I continued eating, the level of spiciness increased, shifting from medium-spicy to slightly spicy.
It wasn’t the kind of extremely spicy taste that makes your lips tingle, but the inside of your mouth was definitely filled with intense spiciness.
The taste of the dish is slightly sweet.
The moist and crisp texture of this dish becomes a real treat!
The spiciness of the curry can be balanced by the sweetness of the naan. Before you know it, you’ve already finished eating the naan.
In terms of balancing the spiciness, what can be considered a good option are salads and mango juice.
I ate these items while moving them around between each other.
A really good role that stands out despite being a supporting character.
The staff members have been busy moving around since earlier, making it difficult to order additional items.
I thought it was a mobile ordering system, but there seems to be no option for additional orders.
I managed to make a call during the busy period, and finally got the replacement item.
As I continued eating the curry, the ingredients gradually began to emerge from the bottom of the dish.
The stew was cooked too long, so it's hard to tell what the original ingredients were. But those green parts might be peas.
It also contains several types of vegetables-like items.
Just as I was about to finish eating, it finally turned into what a vegetable curry should be.
Any additional refills were quickly consumed, and I was completely full.
Payment was made through PayPay as planned.
Using the discount coupon, we got a 10% discount, making the price inclusive of taxes 827 yen. It was a reasonable lunch deal.
Although it wasn’t listed on the table menu, the mobile menu indicates that various types of biyari are available for 850 yen excluding taxes. (It’s unclear whether they can be ordered during lunchtime.)
Actually, I have never tasted biryanis in any restaurant.
I will come back to fill out the point card again, okay?
Thank you for your hospitality.
