From my junior high school classmates, I received a New Year’s card after a long time. It contained a report about the birth of their child, and it seemed that they had changed jobs and were working in the Kita-Ga-tai area (not related to the Ministry of Defense). So, we decided to meet up at Iida-bashi. As we talked, it felt like the seven or eight years we hadn’t seen each other were like nothing happened. We both seemed to be the same as before. Of course, both of us had grown quite a bit in appearance…
As can be inferred from the name of the restaurant, their recommended dishes are chicken dishes, with grilled tortoises being a prominent example. However, for some reason, the items I ordered were mostly not related to chicken at all.Potato Salad (380 yen)、Coldness of the Sashimi (Omission)、Cheese Menchukka (430 yen)And so on. What's really appreciated is the cost-effective price; most dishes cost just around 500 yen or so.
First, I thought about raising a toast with beer. The staff at the restaurant took the initiative to do so. I said that it didn’t bother me at all, so please proceed. All the staff in the restaurant loudly greeted me, saying “Thank you for your hard work.” It seems like such a system… It makes me feel both grateful and a little embarrassed. While drinking beer and talking about words and stories that seemed to have been forgotten from my mind, the food was finally served.
Potato SalaIt is served in a shape resembling a triangular pyramid. It is said to contain chicken meat. If you weren’t told, you might not have noticed—but it has a nostalgic and simple flavor, and it’s quite enjoyable.Cheese MenchikatsuIt looks impressive in terms of volume as well. When you break open the crispy crust, you'll find ricotta and cheese inside. The meaty part is made using chicken, and it pairs perfectly with either a sauce or soy sauce—it's absolutely delicious!
Since it's a chicken restaurant, I was worried about what would happen.FrigidityIt has a lot of fat, which makes it extremely delicious! As the conversation became more lively, the pace of ordering also increased. I ordered several more dishes, and each dish was above average in quality, so I was quite satisfied. Although the two men who served us changed their appearance, they still filled our stomachs. Despite paying a little more because they acted like professionals, they didn’t seem very grateful. In other words, it was a quite affordable price. Well, next time, let’s treat the junior staff… After all, it’s a matter of sharing what we have.
