There is a noticeable difference in customer flow among the stores. Some stores have long queues, while others only have about 20-30% of customers. But overall, it’s quite lively. It feels like a ghost town during the COVID-19 period… but still, it’s a special feeling.
I was attracted by the sign that said "Shabu Shabu free food service, lunch costs around 2000 yen." So I went to the restaurant at 1545. Of course, this place was completely empty. Kama-ya is a chain restaurant, and I had been interested in it, but I never got the chance to visit. Recently, I've been thinking about going to Nyuzan-an, so this seemed like a perfect opportunity. The occupancy rate was around 30%, but the tables were quite small. With free food service, it's better if the tables are larger, isn't it?
Selected option for Suki Yaki free meal: 2068 yen. You can choose beef sirloin, pork sirloin, or chicken mandarin duck. Vegetables and rice are served by yourself. Also worth mentioning is that curry and ice cream are also available for free. The drink bar costs an additional 350 yen. Although the last order window is only 50 minutes, it’s still sufficient. Additionally, meat and drinks can be ordered via QR code on your smartphone.

I’ve eaten all the vegetables and also got some rice. I started eating immediately! Although I ate all the vegetables, I didn’t have tofu. Since it’s a 60-minute meal, I had to eat quickly. Anyway, I felt full after about 30 minutes. I ate 7 dishes, but 5 dishes were enough. During the meal, when they brought meat, they asked if I wanted some extra eggs. Was the extra egg free of charge? So, I ordered one extra egg. Currently, the prices are quite stable, but having free eggs is really helpful.
