I tried lunch at a restaurant called "Rinne", which is about 3 minutes' walk from Hebiyuzu Station. The sign outside the door listed a "grilled chicken and eggplant with yuzuko miso soup" for 880 yen. Considering the current situation, it seemed like a reasonable price, so I decided to enter the restaurant. The interior was quite calm. While thinking about what kind of lunch in a restaurant like this would be like, I ordered the set meal.
Since the rice was served in a large portion for free, of course, I chose a large portion. The main dish that came was chicken, which was a bit smaller in size, and eggplant was larger. The flavor of the yuzu was quite prominent, and the taste wasn’t bad. However, the appearance seemed a bit simple. At 880 yen, I thought it was just okay, but I really wanted more volume in the portion.
The food is served hot, so the refreshing flavor of the yuzu is really enjoyable. The taste itself is satisfactory, but there aren’t any particularly impressive aspects overall. It feels like just an ordinary set meal. Even when ordered in a larger portion, the amount of chicken is insufficient, so it seems a bit lacking. The service was mediocre as well; there wasn’t anything particularly memorable about it.
The interior of the restaurant allowed smoking, which was personally a negative point for me. It might be a bit harsh for non-smokers. During lunchtime, when the smell of tobacco fills the air, it really makes dining unpleasant. Therefore, I don’t plan to visit here again. It might be fine for those who can tolerate smoking, but people who dislike smoke should avoid this place.
