I visited this restaurant on a weekday night. The location is located after leaving Nihonodai Station, heading straight onto the Hōdō Sakuraki Road in the direction of Sakuraki-cho. As you see, Winz Yokohama is to the left, and at the intersection near Noma 3-chome, turn right. Just before the next intersection, there is a building on the second floor. There is an A-type signboard on the first floor that provides information about the restaurant. Since it's an aerial store, it's important to have easy access to enter the store. This is the Shizuoka Dining Bar.
Carefully ascending the rifle staircase, the store is located on the right side of the second floor. From the outside, one can get a glimpse of what’s inside the store. When I open the door, the master greets me. I choose to sit at the counter where there’s a TV. Near the window, there’s a high stool area with four seats.
On the table, there are a food menu and a drink menu. I came here with great anticipation, hoping to enjoy Japanese sake from Shizuoka. The list of Japanese sake includes information about the place of production as well.

Unfortunately, there is no inventory of Shitaiquan. Therefore, the "Kichikou Special Made in Japan" is available for 660 yen. It is served in a wine glass. Approximately, it can hold around 6 drops.
I asked if they would serve the oshibushi, and it was said that they wouldn’t. So, I ordered a small plate of three dishes for 850 yen. I thought it would be served soon, but there was a sound coming from the kitchen as if something was frying. The three dishes served were chicken teriyaki,芽キャベツ素揚げ (stir-fried cabbage), and edamame. It seems that they put a lot of effort into preparing these dishes. Especially the edamame, which wasn’t in season, but it was cooked beautifully and tasted delicious.
Next, Kaisen No Filtre Junmei – 770 yen.
On the back counter, there are numerous bottles of whisky and spirits. It’s not just Japanese sake; it seems to be well-suited as a dining bar.
I visit Shizuoka Prefecture occasionally, but most of my trips are to areas east of Shizuoka City. Specifically, I mostly travel to Numazu City or Mishima City.
The master is from Shizuoka City, it seems.
We left with the request to visit the White Crouching Authentic in Naozumi City, as it would be nice to see it.
Also, I would like to visit again if given the opportunity.
