Let's have lunch at this place that I find a bit interesting.
At around 1 o’clock, there were no customers in the restaurant. Two people came in after me.
Today, I ordered a set meal of grilled fish. About 10 minutes later, the grilled fish was ready... I thought it was the salmon shown in the menu photo, but it turned out to be bonito fillet. (^^;)
Hokke is easily opened even without breaking the bones, so it contains a lot of small bones, making it slightly difficult to eat. However, the flesh is thick, and the fat content is quite satisfactory.
Well, there isn’t anything particularly special about the taste. It's quite sweet and salty in nature. The chopped radish served with it, along with the soy sauce, is just the perfect combination.
As I thought last time, with this amount of content, 1000 yen seems like a rather high price, considering the freshness of the ingredients used in cooking.
This is originally a restaurant that serves mainly dinner. However, I think it’s a place where you can use it casually, like for having lunch there.
It would be even better if there was a menu that changes with the month, wouldn't you think?

I believe it has nothing to do with the Kaede-san who closed down last year, but this is a small restaurant that opened in our town of Asakura recently.
1時過ぎに入店し、先客はお一人でした。
The restaurant isn’t very large, but the interior is clean and tidy. I sat at the counter and ordered a set meal of fried dishes for 1000 yen. Apparently, this is a set meal of fried dishes, but it can be enjoyed for 900 yen.
The female owner of the one-person restaurant actually starts the process right in front of you, by frying the items with a colmo. So it takes a little more time.
However, once the fried items are cooked, they are drizzled with sweet vinegar and topped with plenty of tartar sauce. It is served alongside rice, along with three small dishes: miso soup and jackey oroshi.
This is a highly flamboyant fried dish. The chicken is juicy and well-fried, but the taste lacks some punch when served only with sweet soy sauce and tartar sauce.
Personally, I think it would be better if the sauce used was stronger with sweet vinegar, and if the fried chicken itself could have a more substantial flavor and the aroma of garlic and other ingredients added.
To be honest, at this price and with this amount of food, it can be considered a rarity. Even I, who isn’t a picky eater, thought about having a light dinner—just bread or noodles would suffice…
In terms of location, it can't be said to be particularly fortunate, but for business lunches, the cost might be quite high.
If I have another chance, I plan to try eating grilled fish next time.
