During the holiday period, I came to Ruoya Beach Park to spend time. While looking for a place to eat, I found that "Marin Terrace Ashiyama" was a good option for seafood dishes. So, I visited "Marin Kaito" located within the national guesthouse "Marin Terrace Ashiyama".
Located on a high platform, just across the bridge at the mouth of the Okawa River, in the direction of Matsushiro District, from Asahi Beach Park.
Since it was a holiday period and many restaurants were closed, I was worried that there might be no seats available. When I asked about the seating situation, I learned that there were still some empty seats, so I decided to enter the restaurant anyway.
Due to the location facing Kōtan and Asahi Coast, it's quite difficult to enjoy a great view from the window side. However, the view is still excellent.
Of course, the seats facing the window are almost fully occupied.
Since there was a vacant table, I was allowed to sit there.
As a national guesthouse, the interior is quite spacious. However, compared to the size of the space, the staff members are moving around in a hurry, and it seems they don’t have enough time to provide proper service. It might be because there are many group customers, making it difficult to manage everything properly.
The menu offers a variety of dishes, including set meals, seafood dals, and curry. However, the focus of the menu is still on seafood dishes.
Since I wasn’t very tempted by the seafood dilled, my wife and I ordered the "Squid and Miso Dilled" for 1800 yen, and she chose the "Clam Fried Chicken Set" for 1400 yen.
The menu of "Crab Steak" was not available as the crab had not arrived yet, so I had to give up on it.
The food was served much sooner than expected.
“イカとろろ丼”是一种将生鱼片的切块与调味好的とろろ混合,然后浇在米饭上的料理。此外,这道菜还配有香葱和味噌汤。
①そのまま②明太醤油をかけて③一緒に提供されるいか天を載せて、出汁茶漬け風にという順序で食べるようにとの説明だったので、とりあえずその通りに食べてみると、正直「んん?」という感じだった。
Especially the ③ style of tea naké felt completely unnecessary.
Isn't it better to eat just like usual, without any modifications, as it would be more delicious?
Rather than making the amount a little smaller or being overly elaborate, it might be more pleasing if we increase the volume of the yatororo itself.
My wife’s shrimp fried rice, despite being called “shrimp”, actually has a small size. The taste itself isn’t bad, but honestly, the price seems not to be worth it.
Depending on the menu, the impression might differ. However, given the good view, the lunch experience was somewhat disappointing.
Thank you for your hospitality.
