Lately, there seems to be a shortage of fresh catches, so I've been turned away by the staff at Mao Kai. Today, Papa said that squid is good, so I obediently asked for them. They are indeed delicious, but still, soy sauce simply doesn't compare to Mao Kai… Of course, I managed to finish it all by myself!
Next week, it would be great if we could have hairy crabs.
Saturday, the first day of the three consecutive weekends—empty! For the first time!
I'm happy that I was able to talk quietly with my mother, but at the same time, it felt a bit lonely.
Today's dish was a vegetable stew. Yay! I really wanted to eat it. Now I can eat taro, which I really don’t like, after all.
As usual, there was no arrival of the well-known hairy crab. This time, I had to settle for squid instead. It's delicious, but after all, the hairy crab is the best in terms of taste.
It was warmer than I expected, or maybe I drank too much sake. I forgot to bring my coat when I left... (I went to get it the next day. Lol)
Still full of regular customers here. On this day, the conversation with other regular customers was so lively that I didn’t really have much to eat before reaching the last order...^^;
But since I ate a hairy crab, it's okay♪
The salmon that was sold out last time was exactly as expected. The degree of grilling and the amount of salt added were perfect! Ah, I won’t grill it at home anymore.

Every time I try the menu for the first time, this time I chose “hamaguri sake shaved ice”. It was way better than I expected. It’s absolutely delicious! The soy sauce is also incredibly tasty! I finished it without leaving a single drop. If possible, I would have brought the soy sauce home and made Chinese noodles with it—it was just that delicious.
Before I noticed it, I had already drunk three bottles of sake.

Today, the counter was fully occupied. We had made reservations, and it seemed to be the right time for a shift in customers, so later customers were easily seated.
It's still the same set of "Yamazuki" as always. I'm sorry for the lack of variation today. This time, there was also "Mao Crab-san". Each time, it gets bigger and bigger. This time, it costs ¥3000.
In this size, the food is top-notch. Most importantly, there’s plenty of meat. While chatting with a person next to us, we enjoyed our crab dishes to the fullest!
As long as there are hairy crabs available, I plan to eat them every time♪♪
I realized, even now, that a sushi restaurant is something completely different from a simple sashimi store or a place where you can enjoy grilled fish. The hairy crab here is moist and has just the right amount of saltiness. Once again, I got to enjoy it all by myself.
On that day, the side dish served was edamame. Of course, it was tied with stems, and both the cooking method and the salt added made it absolutely perfect! Truly outstanding.
Today, the restaurant was fully booked. I'm glad I made reservations.

This place was absolutely perfect! It’s a well-maintained road, but I didn’t even notice it at all. It blends perfectly into the town. It’s so integrated that I just passed it by without realizing it.
The price is also reasonable. The sushi with red vinegar was delicious. There were quite a few Japanese sake products out of stock that day, which was a bit disappointing. However, Yahai Mountain sake is easy to drink, so I drank two bottles until they ran out.
I was extremely satisfied, so I’ve booked a reservation for next weekend too!
