Last time I visited Saganoomi after a long time, I discovered this restaurant that was still in the planning stage. It seems that it will open soon, so I booked a table through Yumello!
The deciding factor was the statement "suitable for children". I've mentioned this before; when it comes to yakitoria restaurants, there are differences between popular yakitoria shops and high-end yakitoria establishments, so it's helpful to have this information clearly stated in advance. This place is likely to be classified as a popular-style yakitoria shop.
Location is right next to the station, which is excellent. It’s already crowded with local residents. There are also customers with children around, which is comforting.
Not only are there tables available, but there are also counters. Additionally, Uber Eats pick-up service is available. That means delivery is also possible! How convenient!
The menu consists of a drink menu and a food menu on both sides. Looking at the food menu, it's clear that the side with dishes is mainly dedicated to yakiniku.
And there is a paper menu, but it operates using mobile ordering. I asked if Wi-Fi was available, but they didn’t know the answer.
The staff members are all foreigners, which contradicts my expectations. It makes sense that the menu lists items like kimchi and chanjang. However, they don’t seem to be Korean people at all. Perhaps it would be more appropriate if they were the same kind of staff as those at “Kashmir Restaurant Khana” from last review… That would be less awkward.
For now, while my husband kept placing orders, the total amount became quite significant. It seems that the orders placed by previous customers were not reset properly.
When I called the staff and they started doing various things, it felt like we were communicating more closely than if I had made a regular order. The child even said, "Dad, you got along well with the staff~."
Drinks arrived quickly! With a coupon from Yumelo, the first drink was included in the service (only alcoholic beverages). I'm glad there's quite a bit of wine available. Moreover, it's rare to see a place that offers wine as part of its services, so that's really appreciated. The price is even favorable—just 2,000 yen for a bottle, excluding taxes.
その後、まず焼き鳥が到着しました〜。焼いているところは見えますが、炭火なのでしょうか?カリッとしておりながら脂も乗っていて、とても美味しいです!気に入った串は後ほど追加で注文しました♪
This Ajiço is prepared with plenty of baguettes (though the slicing width seems somewhat arbitrary; this is a concern). The shrimp are quite small and scarce... Compared to the name "Ajiço," the amount of shrimp is indeed the lowest. However, it can be considered consistent with the photos on the menu. Upon re-examination, the menu photos seem to be quite accurate without any exaggeration.
It’s unique to have fried potatoes included in the menu. Surprisingly, they are quite delicious. I thought it’s a great combination for an ajillo meal with potatoes (positive).
“ニンニクしょうゆチキン”(モバイルオーダーではメニューの名称が少し異なるので注意してください。ローマ字で「ニンニクしょうゆチキン」と書かれています)は、衣がザクザクしていました。注文しませんでしたが、ヤンニョムチキンもありました。おそらく韓国風のチキンだったのでしょう。
This is a delicious and crisply grilled chicken! Apart from the famous “yakitori” on the sign, this was the most delicious option. Indeed, their specialty is chicken dishes.
Why is the dessert not available for mobile ordering? So, I ordered the waribomochi orally.
It was in a semi-frozen state, so it was shaved ice-like omelette. It was delicious on its own, though...
Although some of the dishes seemed to be frozen products (but on Eatlog, it was listed as homemade, so I wondered if they weren’t actually frozen), the real highlight was the delicious yakiniku. It was truly amazing. Moreover, the pricing was incredible. Even without the first drink service, the price was still very reasonable! The average budget indicated by Eatlog is also quite accurate (laughs).
I was served a service charge along with the drinks. However, there was actually no charge at all (it wasn't a service charge, but rather an additional fee for seating or other services). The drink prices were listed as net prices, but most of the food menu items were priced in gross terms. That might also be why the total amount seemed larger.
It seems like a good place to stop by during your journey to the station. Personally, I think this kind of place is quite suitable. It's a yakiniku restaurant ★
