This is a great place for year-end parties or New Year's gatherings.
Opening at 6:30 p.m., it's also a pleasure to gather early in the morning.
Located in the east side of Okayama Station, it has an excellent access location, being close to a tram stop.
I went to drink without hesitation during my short break from work. I got off the building's elevator.
When I opened the new door, the interior of the restaurant was extremely clean and tidy. For a moment, I didn’t feel like a traditional izakaya.
This clean and elegant atmosphere makes it safe for even women to use the place. It’s divided into private rooms.
In the back of the hallway, there were also traditional Japanese decorations, which gave a sense of elegance.
The cuisine is excellent, featuring a menu that includes岡山's famous dishes. It's truly a wonderful experience.
Moreover, there are various types of Japanese sake available, so both the food and the alcohol can be enjoyed. When I get off work at the end of the day...
It's satisfying to see salaried workers and office girls coming in one after another.
Well, the drink of choice here is beer. The bubbles are really beautiful and top quality. My companion drank a sauerkraut.
When it gets cold, the dry weather makes the sauerkraut more effective in penetrating the skin. Among all the items I ordered, the one I really liked was...
Potato Salad
It can be seen that the texture is moist and delicate, reminiscent of a potato with a smooth taste. It seems to be homemade. Accompaniments include cucumbers and cherry tomatoes.
The instructions given when serving the dishes were also very thorough, which made me feel at ease. The potato salad reflects the unique style of the restaurant.
Since it's served, I can't help but expect that other dishes will also be delicious.
I discovered the local specialty of Okayama, Domicats, on the menu. This was something I really wanted to try.
The tonkatsu was served with a Dioscorea japonica sauce. It was larger than expected, quite impressive. But it brought me great joy.
The toonkatsu itself was freshly fried, warm and delicious. The sauce didn’t have too much saltiness, so it was quite agreeable.
Even if a generous amount was used, it was still fine. This is really interesting. It works well when paired with onion slaw.
Even after eating, I felt refreshed and thought it was delicious. The local menu is truly excellent.
The steamed shellfish dish has a rich broth, and the umami flavor is well-preserved. The crisp texture of the shellfish was extremely delicious.
It's a season when the pots are delicious, but sometimes due to the large amount of food, it's difficult to even reach the pots.
Such a clay pot filled with soup is also quite nice.
I expected that Tako-ya was cooked in a clay pot, so I ordered it with that in mind.
It was a meal served in a bowl, with the broth poured into a vessel with a spout.
First, serve it as it is. After that, add wasaebi and neginare, then pour the broth over it.
This menu allows one to experience a rather luxurious atmosphere. After all, octopus has a strong umami flavor.
The dessert chocolate cake was served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
We gathered early and drank together. The food was delicious, so eating was the main focus. We had a great time.
