On a weekday in September 2025, after 11 o’clock, I visited the sushi restaurant "Sushi Tandoori at Haneda Airport" on the 5th floor of Haneda Airport Terminal Building 1. It is located about 7 to 8 minutes' walk from the First Terminal Station.
The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere and is of appropriate size. There is only one customer prior to us. We were seated at a table, and we ordered the so-called "Mumei" (1,760 yen), which is a simple lunch dish.
約5分後、控えめなサイズの皿に盛られたチャリシャに、茶碗蒸しと味噌汁が添えられたセットが提供されました。
On top of the sushi rolls are a variety of luxurious ingredients such as salmon, tuna, pomfret, herring, sea scallops, shrimp, green onions, and egg. Additionally, sliced pork, mushrooms, cucumbers, lotus root, and cherry tofu add color and flavor to the dish.
The ingredients used in the sushi were of decent quality, providing a satisfying experience. The red meat of the tuna had a great flavor. The salmon was rich and full of texture, while the bonito was soft and had a rich taste. The catfish was topped with ginger and green onions, adding a refreshing accent to the dish. The shari had a moderate amount of acidity, which complemented the flavors of the ingredients and the sliced seaweed, making it a delicious meal.
The dish itself isn’t very large, but with plenty of ingredients, it provided a truly satisfying experience.
This is a classic tea bowl steamed dish featuring shiitake mushrooms, sausage, bamboo shoots, and golden apples. It combines perfectly with miso soup.
The miso soup contains abura and green onions. The sauce is very flavorful, and the aroma of abura doesn’t seem too artificial. It’s a miso soup that pairs well with chiri and tea bowl steamed dishes.
Before boarding a flight at Haneda Airport, I felt extremely grateful to have a place like "Sushi Tane" where one can enjoy sushi of this quality in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. There was enough space between the tables, allowing for a quiet dining experience. It was also a high-quality sushi restaurant within the airport premises.
