This is a traditional iron-plated steak restaurant located about 10 minutes by car from Ito Station on the JR Ito Line. We visited this place during a tour. The restaurant has a high-class atmosphere, and the staff grills the steaks directly on an iron plate right in front of us. The restaurant is situated in the old town area; although we couldn't see the sea through the windows, we were able to enjoy our meal while enjoying the beautiful garden. The lunch we ate was included in the tour fee. Normally, a similar meal would cost around 5,000 to 6,000 yen. Since it's a group menu, there are no two identical items on the menu.
Compared to its special atmosphere, the price might be considered reasonable.
This menu includes soups, salads, grilled tuna, steaks made from beef from Shizuoka Prefecture, garlic rice, miso soup, seasoning items, sorbet, and coffee.
Shawtesses and coffee can be enjoyed in a tranquil separate room with comfort.
The soup is a blend of chicken and vegetables. The salad is served with homemade Japanese-style dressing.
The teppan-yaki of golden cod is a unique dish. It involves cooking the golden cod on a teppan using butter. The sauce is made from the juices of the golden cod, based on soy sauce.
And, I ordered beef with medium-rare. Although it seems like the meat has been overcooked for a medium-rare, the beef still retains its delicious flavor. The steak comes with three types of sauces, but eating it with Izu Island rock salt was the simplest and most delicious way to enjoy it. They also serve a side dish of stir-fried green peas.
And the garlic rice is truly packed with the flavor of garlic. It’s extremely delicious. Perhaps it was the most delicious one. I particularly appreciate that the taste of the garlic rice isn’t too strong. In the middle of the meal, they prepared something that resembled tea saké.
The sorbet is made with yuzu. We finished the meal by savoring the coffee slowly.
The drinks included red wine for 1200 yen, light-sized beer for 600 yen, and non-alcoholic beer for 700 yen per bottle.
When you visit Izu, seafood is a classic choice. However, even the lunch options at premium restaurants are quite good. Compared to those less professional seafood restaurants catering to tourists, these places offer much more satisfying experiences.
