Located in the Tenjinbashi Commercial Street, this CHIKI CHIKI store boasts an excellent location, accessible from both JR Tenmangu Station and the subway station at Tenjinbashi Rokudo.
This is a restaurant within the "Gouichi" chain, a popular celebrity restaurant in Osaka. Here, you can enjoy roasted birds at a more affordable price compared to the main restaurant.
On this day, I went there with a colleague from my workplace, early on a Friday morning. We made a reservation in advance.
In a stylish interior of wood and gray, most customers are women!
The chairs at the counter are tall and heavy, so it can be a bit difficult to use the restroom or enter/exit when there is someone next to you ( ̄∇ ̄)

Please ask about your preference regarding the degree of cooking first.
Those who prefer their food well-baked, please ask to have the toppings also be well-baked.
This shaved ice served at the beginning of the course is truly outstanding (*¯ ꒳¯*).
The crust is crispy, while the interior is rare. Adding a little salt makes it even more delicious!
Even for someone like me, this is indeed a famous dish.
I can have the items that I don't like removed from the menu (I choose "Rebar ×").
Each item is served individually. After the tamari sauce, salted grilled chicken is placed on the same plate. This is typical of a casual restaurant.
On that day, we had furai-sode, hatsu, tsukune, yagen-nanko-tatsu, eggplant, zuri, and even chives.
What stood out especially were the Hats and Zuri!
Although I don’t particularly like the spicier parts of the dish, this version has absolutely no off-flavors; only a rich umami taste. (⸝⸝ᵒ̴̶̷ ᵒ̴̶̷⸝⸝)
The accompanying mountain pepper is also delicious!
We had choices to choose from various dishes, including roasted onigiri, chicken soup tea nakae with roasted onigiri, seasonal mixed rice soup, chicken cutlet sandwiches, and tori-yaki dake.
My companion ordered chicken soup with tea dressing, while I chose seasonal mixed rice.
It was described as a mixed rice of kinto and sobororo. I imagined it would resemble a sobororo-don, but unexpectedly, the main ingredient of kinto was quite prominent. Laughter ensued.
topped with chicken soup, it was delicious. But for this dish, it might be better to choose the chicken soup tea nakke that I hesitated about ( ̄∇ ̄)
I ordered various types of alcohol for each person, and the total cost was just over 6,000 yen per person.
※For a course costing 4800 yen, only the dishes are provided; you need to pay for the drinks as well.
The course description in Eatlog is confusing. The all-you-can-eat menu is listed under the dishes, but if you pay 8,000 yen per person, it essentially means you get all-you-can-eat meals and drinks.
Overall, the chicken dishes were extremely delicious♪♪
The prices of alcoholic beverages seem a bit high.
Given the location of Tenmangu, I decided to only enjoy the meal and drinks here. With just a course, it costs only 8,000 yen per person, making it quite cost-effective. (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
There are also some dishes that stand out outside of the main course, such as karaage and rib paste. So, next time, I’ll try to finish everything at one place without leaving. ♪
