Today, we went to a quiet alley near the Sugiyama Shrine.
A renowned restaurant with a calm and refined demeanor, "Sushi Chuo" - come visit us.
I was recommended by a gourmet acquaintance, and this restaurant has been on my list of favorites for a long time.
On that day, I reserved a course costing 8,000 yen.
First, we moisten our mouths with bottle beer, while a quiet time for sushi begins.
In the opening stage, there is a solid lineup of dishes such as tuna, fresh salmon, herring, and oysters.
All of these sushi rolls are standard items for a sushi restaurant, but they are well-prepared to the highest standard, so there is nothing to complain about.
And, this is the real action of this night.
A serving of aged catfish changes the atmosphere.
Deliciously rich and thick, with a subtle umami flavor that penetrates deeply. Simply delicious.
The shrimp served here are fresh and delicious, and the cooking process was also perfect.
当店提供のイカは、ただ塩を振っただけのシンプルな握りでした。その時、「やっぱりね…」と思いながら心の中で拍手を送りました。
And the drinks are also excellent.
Although there was no high-ball whisky, what replaced it was...
Highball of Yuba Chōdō "Manryū".
This is fresh and fragrant, perfectly matching seafood.
Additionally, in the latter half, it mentions using "Kabukizuki" as a reference to rock music.
The aroma and smoothness are truly outstanding; it was a drink worthy of a lingering aftertaste.
On the other hand, there was something that I found a bit concerning: the salmon miin-yaki.
The richness of the fat is moderate, and personally, I would have preferred a bit more juicyness.
And the tea bowl steamed food also has a weaker outline of the broth.
Nevertheless, overall, the content was quite satisfying.
The interior has a calm atmosphere, and it’s comfortable to sit without feeling pressed up against the walls.
Other customers also seemed to be encountering a piece of sushi that they found quite impressive.
In a place like this, it's refreshing to be able to enjoy a combination of shochu and sushi.
Next, let's pair it with sake... Or maybe another type of shochu? (Laugh)
Thank you for your hospitality!!
