It’s a rather unassuming restaurant located about 4 minutes away from Ikejiri Big Bridge in the direction of Mitsuji. For lunch, they offer single-course meals with a lot of effort put into the food. It’s quite crowded, especially among the senior customers who know what they’re getting.
Anyway, the chef here is a very pleasant person. Even though it seems like I’m the only person who pays attention to customers at first glance, they really pay great attention to everyone. That’s why I definitely become a regular customer here.
Lunch options include salads, Minestrone soup, and bread. You can choose one of four types of pasta as a set meal. I chose Bolognese Pasta.
Even though it's a one-person operation, there is no need to wait at all. Sop and bread are served right away. The minestrone includes cabbage, which makes it truly homey. If it were such a family-run restaurant, maybe they wouldn't even divorce, and everyone would live a warm and comfortable life... A thought that makes me feel nostalgic.
Well, Bonogre has arrived! Mamma Mia!
Hmm, indeed, it looks quite plain. However, as I ate it, my fork couldn’t stop moving. It was extremely delicious.
The finely chopped garlic and the larger-sized garlic make up a double dose of garlic, which is extremely effective. The spiciness of the chili peppers is also well absorbed by the oil. Basil is also cooked together, making it a pleasant combination.
This dish contains a mix of small clams, and the broth is extremely flavorful. The pasta absorbs this delicious broth, resulting in a delicious bolognese. Although the small clams make the dish somewhat intense to eat, perhaps it’s because the presence of these small clams makes the overall taste even more appealing. This is truly delicious. The price is 1300 yen, so definitely worth returning for another meal—or even becoming a regular customer!
