A Japanese-style izakaya located in the city of Naez, Amami Ōshima, Kagoshima Prefecture.
Since the first restaurant I visited was not satisfactory, I will refill my drink here.
I went there without making a reservation, and I was immediately led directly to the counter without any waiting.
In front of me is a fish tank, filled with numerous Ise-ebi. The ebi move around rapidly and even fight with each other. It’s interesting that Ise-ebi tend to gather together in one place, unlike when they are kept in live tanks.
Since this is the second restaurant we visit,
Takakura (Black Sugar Saké) Soda Cut @ 600
Papaia Nakensoku @390
Abasa Fried Chicken (Halisenbon) @880
I ordered these items. All prices include tax. There was also food served immediately, but the price is unknown.
Among the black sugar sake, the "Amami Sake" is made exclusively on Amami Ōshima. It is a black sugar sake that uses water from Jōgo, which is considered to be the most delicious water on the island, for its production. The original liquor has been aged for over three years, and it is further aged in oak barrels. It has a rich aroma and a profound flavor, making it quite delicious. For the second cup, I ordered it with alcohol.
Takakura Rock @ 600
Since I came to Amami, I decided to enjoy the black sugar sake. However, it felt like Takakura and Joggo were taking advantage of the situation.
Papaia pickles are made from thinly sliced papaya, marinated in soy sauce, so they have a sweet taste.
The abasa fried egg was supposed to be shaped like a harisebun, so I thought it would be interesting if it came out in that form. However, it came out in its cut-up state. It had a lot of bones, making it difficult to eat. It was a plain white-fleshed egg. Just as a snack...
