If you come here, you simply cannot leave behind the "Kyoto Soyuz Gyoza for 630 yen". The soyuz from Kyoto is exquisite and delicious. You should also enjoy all the soup.
“厚切りベーコンの焼きポテトサラダ 780円”というメニューを見ると、まさか「焼きポテトサラダ」になるとは思いませんでした。実際に食べてみると、予想外に美味しかったです。これは間違いなく正解でした!

The "Potato Fries" that I had before are not available in the menu, even after searching for it.
I asked the manager, and he said that they no longer make it. I was recommended to order the "Yacon Potato Fries for 650 yen". So I ordered yacon. And to my surprise, it was incredibly delicious. It's a different kind of fried yacon compared to potatoes. The taste is truly delightful.
It's quite a long two hours. We were served lemon sours and highballs. I simply didn't have the energy to even finish eating oudon. I'm full from the drinks alone (laugh)

We visited "Kyoto Udon GOJO" located on the B1F of Daisho-machi Financial City Sauta Tower for dinner. Before eating the udon, we also enjoyed some raw beer and appetizers.
There is a sign on the wall that reads “Drinking free for 2 hours, 1,000 yen”. Even if you just have one glass of beer, it still costs around 700 yen. It’s more cost-effective to opt for the drinking free option. There’s a condition: “Customers who arrive by 7 PM can order only 2 items per person.” If you drink more than two drinks, you can get your money back. I chose the drinking free option.
We offer two types of beer without sugar: "PSB" and "Aromatique Érable". This is a great choice. So, without further delay, let's go for the "Aromatique Érable".

This is originally a restaurant specializing in Kyoto udon, but it also offers a rich variety of appetizers. Many financial professionals and businesswomen can be seen here. After all, this place is located in the Financial Building.
In the end, of course, we had Kyoto udon. Today, I tried making it with miso noodles. I ordered the "Kumihimo Sesame Dare Tsukemen Udon, 900 yen."
“くるみ胡麻だれつけおうどん”は、とてもさっぱりとした味わいで美味しかったです。ただ、ちょっとくるみ胡麻だれの濃度が私には薄すぎたように感じました。

I have once tasted a ramen with a Kyoto-style flavor at this restaurant. This time, I visited as part of a night-time get-together at a Japanese bar.
There are many delicious types of sauce ingredients available. The next dish was served.

Especially, the "Kyoto Soy Sauce" is very delicious. I even finished all of the soup. It's definitely bonito broth, right? A really good broth.
The dish "shime katsu nare" is quite unique. Even just being grilled, it brings a different kind of deliciousness to the food.
The "5-spice shrimp fritters" dish featured a large serving of shrimp. Even just one piece was enough to provide a satisfying experience.
In the end, of course, we chose udon. We ordered the “Kitsune and Kugyo Ankake Udon”. This was really delicious. I wanted a light soup, but the ankake udon with its thick consistency allowed me to fully enjoy the flavor of the broth.
I got carried away and ate too much. It's frustrating!

Before we knew it, the restaurant had changed places. It’s now called “Kyoto Udon and Obanzai GOJO”. It opened on the B1F of Daishotomachi Financial City recently.
We received the "Otegoro Awase Menu for 1,000 yen".
Choose between "cold udon" or "hot udon". I will choose "hot udon".
The set includes a "Lunch Small Dish". You can choose your favorite dish from "Parent-Child Dish, Vegetable Sky Dish, Other Person's Dish, Eel Sky Dish, Snake Jade Dish". The prices are not the same for all dishes; they increase gradually. I chose the cheapest option, the "Parent-Child Dish".
Oudon is a truly simple plain udon. It contains only sliced green onions. It would be nice if there were also some leftover rice flour or kasha added to it.
This soup is truly delicious, thanks to the use of bonito and kombu. It’s absolutely wonderful. However, the udon noodles are hard and lack smoothness. There isn’t much of a wheat aroma either.
What surprised me was the eggs in the “親子丼”. The eggs were overcooked, resembling steamed tea bowls with excessive heat. The eggs covered the rice completely, with chicken pieces peeking out here and there. Is this considered a Kyoto-style dish? Or was it simply overcooked? There wasn’t even a trace of semi-mature egg pieces.
Also, in Kyoto-style restaurants serving Kansai-style亲子丼, they use long green onions instead of onions. The taste was just ordinary but still delicious.
