Here it is: “西新初喜 久田店” opened on August 28th! In the Fukuoka Western area, “西新初喜” has overwhelming popularity and brand strength. Currently, it operates 7 stores, including the “久田店”. As sister brands, there are also “博多流れ鮨 海進丸” and “台湾餃子 楊喜”. In the West New area, “西新初喜” is a well-known and respected traditional restaurant.
By the way, the history of "Nishinoshika" dates back to 1934 (Showa 9 years). It was founded as a meat specialty store called "Kami no Benkyo-ya". The founder, Kataoka Hatsushika, had the vision to let more people experience domestic Wagyu beef. That vision has been passed down to this day.
The interior of the restaurant features a Japanese-modern and tranquil design. There are semi-private tables, as well as regular tables that can be used to suit different occasions. The dishes I ordered include the "Special Selection Iwami Beef Shabushabu Course," "Special Selection Black Beef / Yutari Senmai," "Mild Roasted Chicken," "Kumamoto-Special Tsubaki Beef (Shiromaki Meat, Tadakami)," and "Black Beef Tail."
First, let's start with the appetizer dish, "Wagyu Tattai," served alongside beer! After that, before the shabushabu, various side dishes are presented. Indeed, the chef who specializes in meat is truly remarkable—the "Special Selection Black Wagyu/Yukikiri Senmai" is fresh and delicious! Next, for those who enjoy beef tail, the "Black Wagyu Tail" is highly recommended. The beef tail has been cooked until tender and served in two pieces, with a rich tail soup that's simply outstanding! Lastly, the "Kumamoto-produced/Special Selection Maki" is of high quality. There are many moments of disappointment-free deliciousness throughout the meal.
Finally available is the much-anticipated "Special Selection Iwami Beef Shabushabu Course"! Iwami beef rib loin is beautiful in appearance♡ There's no way it couldn't be delicious! First, let's lightly shabushabu it with three types of dressing sauces: "ponzu," " sesame," and "sauce." Each has its own delicious taste, but what really stood out was the combination of "sauce" with pickled green onions—that was the most delicious combination! If you prefer a lighter flavor, choose "ponzu"; if you prefer a more rich taste, go for "sesame."
“特選伊万里牛”は、大ぶりな伊万里牛リブロースが4枚もあり、まさに最高です!色鮮やかな肉質で、非常に柔らかくて滑らかです。脂肪の質も抜群で、旨味と風味がたっぷりの逸品でした☆「しゃぶしゃぶ」でも「すき焼き」でも、最高のパフォーマンスを見せてくれますよ。
