At about the middle of Sakae-dori in Takada Maiba Station, on the first floor of a building where Seven-Eleven stores are located, there is a new izakaya called "Sakaba Daiana, Takada Maiba Branch", which opened in August 2025. I visited it for the first time around 9 p.m. on a weekday.
This is the sixth branch of the Kizu Road group of izakayas in Tokyo. The Takada-Basama branch is a spacious and modern establishment. There are table seats, counter seats, and partitioned areas that can be rearranged according to the number of people attending.
I bought a piece of "大穴シール" for 220 yen. Every time I visit, it is mentioned that from December 2026 onwards, some high-ball and sauerkraut drinks will be discounted by 100 yen, with the price dropping from 390 yen to 290 yen (I don’t drink those drinks, so I don’t purchase them).
The menu features four famous dishes: Kuzu-udon, beef tendon stew, beef broth oden, and light-sushi (with less rice). There are also a variety of other dishes such as skewered meats, sashimi, etc. Since this was my second visit, I ordered a dish with a little more sauce.
<Ordered Menu>
●穴子串 くりから(タレ) 242円
●カシノリ煮込み 429円
The food is served relatively quickly. The meat is skewered in a twisted manner, and the sauce is delicious. The beef stew has a rich miso flavor, with plenty of beef. It’s perfect as an appetizer.
The interior of the restaurant is non-smoking, and the smoking area is located behind the toilets. There are only about three seats available, so when it's full, people will have to stand in line. We will leave after about an hour. For payment, various cashless payment options are available.
According to a companion who has visited this place before, the tsumami sushi was good. Since I also want to try other menu items, I will come here as my first stop next time.
